Electroanalysis and Electrochemistry Research Group

Research topics:

  • Investigation of surface properties of various materials, including carbon-based electrodes, metallic electrodes, and surface or bulk modified electrodes with nanomaterials, conducting polymers, etc., using microscopic and electrochemical techniques.
  • Development of electroanalytical procedures for the determination of biologically active compounds (pesticides, drugs, neurotransmitters, veterinary antibiotics) using voltammetric techniques.
  • Studies on the electrochemistry of biomimetic membranes and the interactions of mitotic inhibitors used in cancer treatment with self-organizing biomolecules on the membrane.
  • Investigation of electrode reaction kinetics and mechanisms using voltammetric techniques.
  • Electrochemical deposition of nanostructures and metallic and alloy coatings, fabrication of ceramic coatings using the sol-gel method.
  • Corrosion studies of metallic materials, mainly biomaterials for orthopedic and dental implant applications.
  • Functionalization of biomaterials through various surface modifications.
  • Analysis of surface properties of biomaterials (microscopic methods, wettability).
